triton
Hello Folks. I hope to pick the brains of you knowledgeable people. I have a brand new starter motor and I originally bought it (new old stock) for a MK2 Vitesse but I'm now not sure if its the right one! It is a Lucas LRS 101 & I was lead to believe it was correct. :-/Can anyone shed some light on this? It mentions Triumph as one of the fitments but some conformation would be nice. :)Thanks all, Paul.
Clive
Looks to be correct. The same starter was used on loads of cars from the 60's (and into the 70's)same as herald, spitfire etc etc.
Richard B
Do you already have a starter on your car/engine or is it a project? The starter should have an adapter between it and the backplate.ps photos are good.
triton
Hi there. No, its still in its box and unfitted. I was going to move it on if it was not suitable but I might hang on to it now as it might be correct. :)
partsaver
What made you think it wasn't the right one?
