I have a Rimmer fuel pump fitted on my herald. Been ok so far no problems at all

Great that it’s now driving at last, you’re right a little at a time, I started out just 2 or 3 miles in my herald after recommissioning, two years on and it’s still needing bits done but it’s almost there. 👍

Maybe a video recording so everyone could hear the noise may help with suggestions of a diagnosis

A mammoth restoration task but will be a lovely car when it’s done. It looks original colours to me . Lovely combination the vin plate will show 2 paint codes as per photo of my car vin plate the two numbers show the colours on the car and can be matched to the photos of triumph paint codes I posted earlier hope this helps

Two tone herald have 2 paint numbers, ie mine is cactus over olive and has paint codes 15 & 35 on the vin plate. you can google paint codes on this site www.spitlist.info/paint.html I have photographed the codes

Yes the Herald lock operates from the inside only, push the lever toward the windscreen to lock it

We did have a prop from Alun we checked the centre bearing and the end UJ s but the centre IJ is seized, didn’t think to check that one lol. Alun has another prop so he’s going to change it at the weekend he’s a great chap 👍 -

We think it is Propshaft, the centre bearing is oval so we are off to see Alun in Stourbridge after the drivers briefing at Gaydon 👍 looks like Olaf will be doing the RBRR again this year though -

Andy and Tony are lovely and have been brought up with Triumphs via their late father/father in law who built the business years ago. A wealth of knowledge there 👍 I’m lucky enough to live just 20 miles away so a 40 minute drive and I’m there -
Thank you, it’s a 1500HL with overdrive, but with sprint front grille. It’s our events car so that Olaf - Darren’s 2500 saloon can be used for the less demanding events, and Marmite should be seen quite a lot in the future. It’s on the RBRR in October 👍
