juppy Posted April 27, 2007 Share Posted April 27, 2007 Has anyone come across MK3, MKIV, 1500 callipers that are dimensionally incorrect. By this I mean that the distance between the mounting holes and the pad pin holes is too small by approx 5 mm which would mean when fitted either the pins can't be fitted or will touch the edge of the disc. I bought some at Newark Auto jumble as I thought they were Spitfire ones, but when I went to fit them I found this problem. I compared them with some reconditioned ones I then had to buy and discovered this dimensional discrepancy. I am just curious to know if anyone knows what they are actually off, maybe a RWD Escort as they use the same pads? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
