B.RegAcclaim
Hello everyoneHas anyone ever been tempted to put alloy wheels on their acclaim?I'm thinking about purchasing some alloys. I've found a package where I can buy 4 alloys with 4 tyres for £299 which isn't bad. I found a tyre calculator program on the site, which worked out what size tyre I would need (obviously), worked out that if I want 15" alloys, I'd have to have a tyre size of 195/50/15. I would have liked 175/55/15 but unfortunately the package did not have the 175 in the deal. The tyres I have at the moment, I think, are 155/80/13, there is a 40mm different in the tread, and I didnt know if our cars (acclaims) would be able to take the extra 40mm tread width. My dad thinks this is a stupid idea and a waste of money, I'm only considering this because I do not know whether to sell my car or leave it til I have 1 years no claims (because of insurance costs at the moment, opposed to getting another car).Any information about the tyre sizes would be helpful. the vicar of heeley
Some Honda Civics and Accords of the same era had a nice 5 spoke alloy fitted as standard 14" I think which really suit the Acclaim. Maybe worth trying a breakers?
