Most of what I know is about the herald/ spit cars.

Why can't you fiddle if you fit tr6 wheels as opposed to others ?

The TR6 wheels effectively widen the track of the car. The mk2 rear end is wider than the mk1. Combining the two can prove difficult as they tend to touch the arches. No mk2 bits means no CV joints without lots of faff.

Plus I have other reasons for going down the '4 route. :)
