James
Anyone got any Mk1 rear trailing arms?Anti roll bar subframe?Anti roll bar bits? (I've got the bar)Old front struts that I can butcher to use with my Koni?Probably loads more actually... just need to think of it... basically anything that I might want to clean up and/or rebush before I tear the car apart - makes it quicker just to swap bits. Jason
James - check you nearside rear shock, the car has a definate mismatch in the rear dampers and a tendancy to "shimmy" as you drive - oh and maybe check your oil, the front of my car is covered in it :-)
James
I already have a set of Koni to go on it - so no worries there - I knew they were knackered! The thing doesn't drink any oil at all... at least not a drop in 600 miles - strange!
thescrapman
JamesWhat is your time scale???Might have some stuff in a couple of months, need to keep the spares car mobile for a little while yet.I have suspicions about the front struts on my PI, so they may be substituted for the spares ones.CheersColin
James
I only want front struts so that they can be taken apart... so anything you have would do.My time scale is before the 10CR... a decent time before the 10CR preferably...

THink you were parked near the end of the row weren't you James?
James
I can't remember where we parked... it was somewhere in the middle I think? She does drop oil - but not that much...I really want to go home and check the oil now...!

The rear X-member and surrounding areas are reasonably clean. I can only surmise that I am leaving it behind me in a vapour trail of some sort ;D ;D -- was just wondering if you were suffering the same :D
