engine bearings?????

hi all
as some of you know im doing my bottom end bearings,,,after stripping x-member and sump off,,main caps off and found this

as you can see the ends bearing are good but the inner bearing are gone! they are std stamp`d
do i go for full set of vandervells for cw or just the 4 inner bearing and keep the outers that ive got
and also the thrust washers are gone,,to much play

while i was under the car i checked the big ends bearing and i need a set of them also---std has anyone got a set to sell?

Quite normal for the inner two mains to show more wear than the outers.  They take thump from two cylinders.  Replace the whole set seeing as you've already dropped the front main cap.  I've been known to check the rear main and if it's still grey, leave the front well alone (as it's usually the least worn of the 4) to avoid the aggro of disturbing and re-sealing the bridge piece at the front.......

BEs should be changed as a set also - imagine they are fairly coppery looking if the centre mains are like that.  You'll probably have to settle for County/King HD tri-metal though.  VP2s pretty much gone now.

Is yours late enough to have the bigger bearings?  Mk 1s come in two flavours so take care!
