This week the teacher of the body shop arrived with something on his trailer (for the guys that don't know, i'm a handyman at a school now).

It is a 1953 Tempo Metador (2 stroke engine) !

Was a bit surprised when i could see the front suspension...

First 2 pic's was of the car that arrived (and on the second pic you can see the Fox to).
The other pics is from the internet, they made a few with VW beetle engines, but then suddenly VW didn't want to sell there engines to them anymore as they found out the Matador sold better then there transporter !

Transverse leaf springs have been used in various vehicles over the years.

Most recent one I can think of is the original Seat Ibiza (based on the Fiat Strada/Ritmo floorpan) which had one at the rear.

quite a few used a trans leaf,  Vauxhalls Vivas had em.

this one i had given some thowt to as a mod to rear of a Roto end, as I thouwt it would control the camber changes.
