Ken Young
Hi all, I had a nightmare taking my GT6 to the MOT this year after getting her out of winter hibernation. Changed the points and condenser as part of a service and ended up breaking down close to home because they were rubbish. Eventually ran back home to get the old ones and re-fitted them to get me home. Can anyone recommend a good source of quality points please. Tim Bancroft
Distributor Doctor http://www.distributordoctor.com/ Have you a AC Delco dizzy or a Lucas item? I am not sure if he stocks AC Delco Parts?
Ken Young
Thanks. As far as I know it's the original which I think makes it a Delco.

JohnD
Anyone who thinks they have broken down because of a "bad condensor" should just remove it. They 'go bad' becasue they break down, conduct electricity and short circuit the points. The ignition works perfectly well without a condensor - the points just arc more and will wear away in a thousand miles or so. Should get you home! daver clasper
That's interesting John. A quick test is just to remove it then (only run NOS ones now, so hopefully not the very regular issue it has been). Dave
