chrisJA
Given all entrants will be in their Triumphs on Drive It Day, perhaps you could support this great idea. The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs introduced Drive It Day in 2005 as an opportunity for drivers of classics to celebrate the 1000 Mile Trial run in 1900 to prove the viability of the newly created motor vehicle. DID has now become a high profile annual event, giving us an ideal opportunity to raise awareness and support for historic vehicles amongst the general public. In 2021 the Federation chose to raise funds for the NSPCC's Childline charity as an integral part of DID activities. This association continues, with Childline having become the Federation's official charity partner. Over £87K has been raised for Childline so far from the past two years' DID activities. Club Triumph has of course a proud record of having supported many worthy charities since 1990 through the Round Britain Reliability Run. Please consider purchasing a plaque from the NSPCC (see attached) to display on your car throughout the HCR. These are available for £10 (Regular) or £30 (Platinum) and all proceeds go to Childline. The link is www.driveitday.co.uk/shop Thank you in anticipation for your support of our Federation's chosen charity.
Amy Wade
It looks like Tim has had a bit of a mishap, can someone help him get his car the right way up?
Tim Hunt
Yes Amy, I find this a bit annoying. Whenever I upload an iPhone picture to a Forum the picture is always inverted. Even if I rotate an image through 180degs before uploading it still ends up antipodean - grrrr. I was hoping that by now some kind person who has better IT skills than I do would have inverted the image for me!

Tim Hunt
Many thanks Rob! If you could explain to me, very simply, how I can correct the orientation of posted pictures myself I would be very appreciative!! Even better, how can I manipulate an image on my iPhone before saving to my PC prior to posting so that is the right way up in the post? Tim Tim, I have been looking at the invision/forum "help" area. It seems there is something embedded that automatically puts the photo the "correct" way up. I guess soem code in teh picture when you took it. I wonder if saving the picture as a jpeg or something once it is the right way up (not before) may solve the issue. I must say it seems to be only iphones that have this problem, I expect something in the way apple does things, they don't like to work with other software. As Clive says, the problem seems to be some "unusual" metadata that iPhones attach to the image. All I did was download the photo from the forum, rotate it in Gimp, and save it again. I don't know whether the offending metadata was removed by the download or by Gimp. I don't have an iPhone so I can't test Clive's idea. Boxofbits
On an iPhone, if you hit Edit on the right, above the photo, you can rotate the photo 90 degrees each time, and re-save. Not sure if that will stay that way when uploaded, but mostly it seems to work. Same on iPad. Kevin
