roger's-spit
Hi, just about to refurd my bonnet and was wondering what to use on the underside. I have read about stonechip and POR 15 being used. Has anyone got any other ideas or suggestions ?
Bainzy
Should only need stonechip for the wheel arches, I think to get a stonechip on the rest of it, you'd be quite unlucky. POR15 apparently is only very good when applied direct to rust, how rusty is it now?
willows40
it depends what finish you want under the bonnet, I would stonechip the arches for protection, The rest it up to you, I normally stonechip the complete underside and then paint it body colour for no other reason than find it easier.cheers andy
Alex
I agree with Andy, stonechipping makes it much easier to get a good finish as its not an easy panel to ensure good paint cover. Certainly thats what i found in any case. Alex

roger's-spit
Just cleaned all the under side off and its a good solid bonnet. Think I will go with stonechip then paint body colour as someone has already half stonechipped the front section. Thanks for the advice.
