Paul Garvey
Thank you all - sorry but I've a MK2 and no idea where the relays go - if Mk2 is the same as the later models it looks like I may be missing a bulkhead bracket they attach to? Paul Garvey
Yep, mystery solved I'm missing the bracket. Thanks
JensH
I thought RHD cars were different - horn relay was located on the side of the battery box support bracket - could be the same with OD-relay ::)*editAccording to Guide to originality (John Thomason) the OD relay was located on the front bulkhead next to the horn relay, fixed to the back of the rear bulkhead. So you should have no bracket :-)
Paul Garvey
Thanks - yes RHD so it's horn relay fixed to the front of the bulkhead and od relay fixed to the back - passenger side? and also do you have a photo as unsure where for each. Don't suppose you also know how and where the indicator unit goes? Electrics are not exactly a strong point....
JensH
They are both (OD and Horn) on the engine side, but horn relay is on side of the battery box support bracket and OD relay direct on the bulkhead; same side (i.e. battery tray).Sorry if not being clear.Indicator unit is located inside above glove box in passenger side (this is in my LHD Spitfire mk 3, believe its the same in RHD ?? )You will have to look at the workshop manual - and wiring loom.
