Wheelman
I was under my 13/60 the other day when I noticed that one of the four bolts that secure the halfshaft to the differential flange was missing. I found a bolt that appeared to be the correct length, but I couldn't fit it, as there was insufficient room between the differential casing and the drive flange to get the bolt in straight. Am I missing a trick? I think this may be why I am getting a bang from the back end when power is suddenly applied.
CharlieB
The correct length bolts (5/8" under head) will just fit when you turn the flange so the cutout lines up with the hole.

Nick Moore
Those halfshaft bolts do loosen up over time, something to do with the torque. It's a good idea to check them occasionally, and if you take them apart, don't re-use the nylock nuts. If you're fitting a replacement bolt, make sure it isn't threaded the whole way up the shank. The portion in the flange holes should have a plain shoulder.
JohnD
Mr.Pedant writes,A bolt that is threaded all the way to the head is not a bolt, but a 'set screw'.The unthreaded part IS the 'shank'.J.Pedant, unrepentant.
