Richard B
One of the spokes on the OE MkI PI steering wheel has broken from the rim. :'(Yes I know MkI PI wheels are like rocking horse poo. :oPresumably this can be re-welded after the leather rim & foam have been removed. Any recommendations as to who can replace the foam and the leather? :-/I have heard that Aldridge Trimming repaired one MKI PI steering wheel; I'll give them a bell on Monday. I seem to remember there was an article about it in Practical Classics many moons ago where they repaired an MGA steering wheel. As for retrimming it afterwards I wouldn't have a clue! Richard B
Stripped it down last night. It has aluminium spokes (with round holes) riveted to a steel rim. The rim then has the foam rubber over it followed by the leather.Hopefully I can get the rivets replaced (thank you James) and then ship it to Aldridge for re-trimming!
