Stuart Wilson
Well after the problems we had we managed to get all the way round. It was certainly a good experience. Other than the missfire we had from the top end of Scotland to the Severn bridge we had a good run. We're putting it down to fuel.Must say a big thank you to all those who helped us out with advice, parts and encouragement to continue. If the people who lent us parts can message me their address so I can return the parts.StuartYellow TR7
Nick Jackson (2)
Your first time I assume from your profile, so did it meet all of your expectations?
Stuart Wilson
Yes it was our first RBRR, even with the problems it was enjoyable and the support and help from others was fantastic. We will be back I'm sure
32valves
The cap and leads did the business after all then ? Did you find out what was causing the misfire ? (if it's an embarrassing mistake on your part, don't deny us a laugh ;))
Stuart Wilson
We're putting the missfire down to fuel contamination. Either dodgy fuel from Scotland or possible rust/residue in the tank
Beans
Clogged up fuel line seems the most likely cause to me (when was the last time the car was used properly before the event?).Also bear in mind that the Sprint engine doesn't really like low octane fuel (< RON97)
