Jonny-Jimbo Posted January 27, 2011 Share Posted January 27, 2011 When I worked at Focu DIY we sold a black crackle paint, with various base colours - Not sure if it was suitable for engine use, but it was made by Plasticote from memory.As for the chrome nut... canna help there. And the crakle finish paint in black any ideas on that one?CheersChris I just bought Mini nuts/bolts (whatever you want to call them) for my 6 cylinder SAH cover - came with rubber seal and special chrome 'dished' washer to suit (important you get the set). heraldcoupe Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 One tip with the black crackle paint, be meticulous in cleaning the surface it's to go on. The effect you get with the crackle will vary depending on the surface it's applied to. If it goes on over flakes of old paint, it will behave differently on the areas where there are flakes to those areas which are clean metal,Cheers,Bill.
