Caerhun
Can a wider radiator be fitted to a 1600 vitesse and if so where could I get one? What if any problems would there be in fitting it?

Ron
I've been wondering if any modern radiators will fit a Vitesse? The rad on mine will see me through the restoration but I'll definitely need a new one when it's finally on the road. They're expensive and like hen's teeth.Roy has a rad from a Fiat on his GT6 and wondered if a modern replacement could be made to fit a Vitesse? ResinRocket
I'd think that a lot of modern rads are too wide and shallow, as new cars have more rounded noses. One radiator that does spring to mind is a K10 Nissan Micra (1982-90's). If I remember rightly it's fairly square like the Vitesse rad, although whether it would be efficient enough to cool a 1.6 / 2.0 six-pot is another thing.I looked up the dimensions of the Micra rad: 404mm wide, 331mm high, 33mm deep. Not sure how that compares to the Vit rad.
Pete Lewis
any radiator reconditioner will recore your existing one quickly and fairly cost effective, do the heater natrix at the same time .canley list them as in stock, early with seperate header is cheaoer than the later unit.Pete
