nicedave
Have a problem with a 3 rail box with D type overdrive, have bought this and it was claimed to be working before a long lay-up. Have replaced oil, checked solenoid, operating valve and pressure relief valve and all seem ok but still getting nothing but a distinct click when trying to engage overdrive - any suggestions? Clive
Is the solenoid adjusted corrctly, I think this is imprtant on the D types. You will need to use a manual to give you the spec.Otherwise it sounds like something may be sticking? You really need an od guru!
nicedave
Have re-checked adjustment on solenoid and that ok but still no joy - seems like will have to take out the big hammer very soon!

Deleted User
There's a plug on the TOP of the overdrive.remove it and there'a little plunger and spring inside. If when the prop is turning no oil is being pumped out of there, your oil pump has seized in the down position, and it will never work again until the oil pump gets replaced.
