AdamSindrey
Are they interchangeable? I would like to fit my TR7 ones in to my Dolomite, any chance of that working? Thanks, Adam
Beans
As you have them both lying around I'd suggest to trial fit one ::)B.t.w. are you tall ? If not it just might be that you can't see over the dash as the TR7 seats are very low indeed ;D
Paul S
Adam, I'd say probably not, as the Dolly ones have got loads of 'adjustability' built in, the '7 ones are just fore/aft and recline like most... and from memory the hole spacing is different..but that was a long time ago I last looked at a dolly one! :-/What I fitted to my old Dolly when it was a 'Navigational' rally car was an old set of Recaros as found in Sunbeam Ti's, lots of Fords etc, only required a couple of new holes in the floor pan, and 'voila!' seats that hold you better..Just be wary if you're tall as they sit you a touch higher in the car- I was a bit tiny bit too high at 6 foot, but I managed.. mikeyb
The TR7 runners are different, not in the least because the seatbelt buckles mount directly onto them - whereas the Dolly ones bolt to the tunnel. I would also expect the 7 seats to sit lower in relation to the floor. Bases may be swappable though?
