Who's got what to do for 2018 ?
Stuart Wilson replied to Steve28's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
Well I'm going to have a fair amount of work to do. I've located a fresh TR7 which I'm going to fit my sprint engine in, swap over the brakes and suspension and a few other bits and pieces. Should keep me out of trouble for a little while -

Looked at my profile on both this forum page and on the new site, I can't see where to add my phone number. Can anyone advise?

Never know we might appear in a small engine car of some sorts if I don't sort by misshaped TR7 in time -
RBRR 2018 IMPORTANT NOTICE
Stuart Wilson replied to Tim Bancroft's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
Yes the site was a bit slow at working but it worked considering the amount of "traffic" it will have had. Couple of times my screen timed out so just refreshed and carried on. Yes it took a while but I'm in. Should say a big well done and thank you to all the club officials who have got this up and running, with what I can see only a few problems -

Yes I'm fine, the car is not so good though. After I went off and the police arrived the council then arrived with a gritter to grit the road- 44 replies

Hexham Motor Club 12 car events
Stuart Wilson replied to Stuart Wilson's topic in Comps & Motorsport
The last Hexham 12 car of the year did indeed run last night the 29th, I had my entry in and was off car 6 with Chris alongside. But I didn't make the start due to a coming together with a large grass verge and ditch resulting in the front wheels not pointing in the same direction- 44 replies

Who's got what to do for 2018 ?
Stuart Wilson replied to Steve28's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
Due to unforeseen circumstances last night the TR now needs slightly more work before it's ready for the RBRR. A quick look it now needs steering rack o/s wing n/s wing o/s door skin o/s sill -- possibly outer and inner ten months to get it ready or replace it -

We enjoyed the event, slightly different to the events we normally do but we managed and both came away smiling and very happy with the result -

My list is at the moment, I have another year to use it and something break............... -
Reading Club Torque about the entry, it says the entrant and the car need to be registered, I'm a user of the club website and forum and registered, is the car registration part of the entry process?

other option is get hold of some of the skate type things, jack the car up lower on to the skates and away you go. Quick search on google brought up these, good price for a set of four, after you have collected the car either sell them on or keep them for moving car in the garage, so you can get it right into the corner or against wall etc https://www.sgs-engineering.co.....unAnNpcaAuuOEALw_wcB

Why less single track roads? Ones I'm used to doing at night are I'd say 70 - 80% single track roads with an average of 30mph. Code boards are normally road signs, having to get the correct mileage, so if you get a mileage wrong or miss one you get penalties added. Should add ours are normally all plot and bash with a mix of instruction types, standard tulips, spot heights, grid lines and grid reference.

Night time is when I'm used to doing 12 cars, so it would be normal for me. The Hexham Motor Club ones I do normally start at 8pm finish by 10.30 to 11 unless you get lost, plus normally a buffet at the finish. Would be interested depending on date and location

I've found the 195/50 are a good bit cheaper, hopefully they will fit

I've just got some 15" MGF Alloys to go on the TR, what size tyres are people using? I'm thinking 185/55 or maybe a 195/50 ??

Completed the 12 car on Wednesday night. Had a last minute change of navigator due to work. But we finished 5th, think there was 10 or 11 started. Got all the control boards but dropped a total of 14 mins No doubt I'll do a report for Club Torque- 44 replies

Stuart Wilson replied to Jonny-Jimbo's topic in Comps & Motorsport
It's not the first British closed road rally it is the first closed road rally in England But either way it should hopefully be good news for the sport -
Great thanks for that, I knew someone would come along with the info I needed 😎

Who's got what to do for 2018 ?
Stuart Wilson replied to Steve28's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
Think my to do list looks something like this, Check levels Check tyres Wash Clean windows Fill with fuel 😎 Seriously though I'm going to look at getting the seats overhauled, doesn't have to be done but will make it a little more comfortable. -
I'm in the process of getting some 15" MGF alloys to go on my TR7. What wheel nuts do people use as obviously the TR7 wont fit as needs to be a tapered nut
