  1. Hi Chris, Great to see the C2C is running this year, unfortunately we won't be with you this year as we've got a prior commitment. Presumably next year you plan to revert back to an April date to coincide with Drive it day. Dave and Jackie

  3. I need to put some miles on the TR6 before the RBRR so looking forward to Border Raiders which looks set to run this year. Then a service and MOT, fit the hard top and should be all set. Dave
  4. New site is a great improvement, thanks to all who've worked hard to achieve it. No reason not to use it now Dave

  6. Hi Graham,  Try TR Enterprises they had, or possibly still have, a case study on their website for a stage rally 2.5pi which they built to MSA regs and it had a bespoke cage fitted. All the best Dave
  7. Hi Returning to the question about Blyth services earlier in this thread I was at Longstone tyres this afternoon and my sat nav took me past on my way home so I called in. The services are as I remember them small and cramped and there's nothing on the northbound carriageway of the A1. What has happened is that on the opposite side of the A614 from the entrance to the services is a new area with a KFC and Starbucks and associated parking. Have a look at Google streetview https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.3893409,-1.062769,3a,30y,261.91h,88.94t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sTR67zwp06-GYVnN9BSfVBw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en&authuser=0 The suggestion of having additional marshalls at Wetherby strikes me as a good one for managing the queuing, always assuming the RBRR team can find the necessary volunteers. Dave
  8. Hi Dirk They are 400x200mm. All the best Dave
  9. Hi Tim, We'll be on the midday sailing, see you there. Dave and Jackie
  10. Hi, If you want a reconditioned engine, with a warranty, you could try Ivor Searle (https://www.ivorsearle.co.uk/). They list the 1500 Spitfire engine. Dave
  11. Tim Not yet, still waiting hear. All the best Dave
  12. Tim Ellis Stokes sent out the email below with details which you should have received, have you checked your spam All the best Dave ellis.stokes@club.triumph.org.uk 19/06/2019 5:53 PM 1     Club Triumph ... the club for all Triumphs Hi everyone I hope the car prep is going well... I've just last week finished a long write up for the mag showing highlights of the run - there are some really amazing roads to look forward to. Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be finalising details for the drivers briefings in the UK. These are likely to be Monday 19th August in Potters Bar, and Tuesday 20th August in the Midlands (venue TBA). Please make a note of the dates and if you cannot make it, start to make arrangements for another team to to collect on your behalf. Please remember I'll have three people in my car, and will only be able to fit in those packs for the teams already on the continent (to take to the start). Also a reminder about our National Weekend / Day coming up in a couple of weeks. We are very excited about this, as it's the first time we have joined forces with the TR Drivers Club to arrange an event. Details are on the website (link below), so whether you fancy coming for the entire weekend (Friday to Sunday) camping, or just for the day on Sunday, there is something for everyone, and a chance to give your car a decent run. Be good to see you there. [Sorry, link no longer available]  Best wishes Ellis Stokes Club Triumph Competitions Secretary 10CR Organiser
  13. Hi Tim We had to wait another day for Team Coordin8 to confirm our booking, then another day for confirmation of the card transaction and then the following day an invoice turned up. All of these were by email and not post. All the best Dave
  14. Hi Tim We're thinking of doing likewise but going to Bruges for a couple of days on the way back. I think any visit to the WW1 area has to include Ieper (Ypres), the last post ceremony at the Menin gate every night at 20:00 and the Flanders Fields museum are both worth a visit. Any of the major allied war cemeteries are well worth a visit and I would also include a visit to one of the german ones, equally moving, but a different way of doing it from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Hi Nuala I've got one you could borrow and could bring it with me to C2C, if you cannot get hold of one closer. ATB Dave
  16. An OS grid reference always refers to a square covering a fixed area, the size of which depends on the number of digits used. Thus a six figure grid reference gives an accuracy of 100m x 100m square, an eight figure reference increases the accuracy to 10mx10m and a ten figure reference increases the accuracy to 1mx1m. These numbers are always whole numbers. When citing OS grid references it is also necessary to include the two letter code to identify which 100Km square you are referring, without these you could be in any of over 50 100Km squares.
  17. Hi Nuala How about these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Period-Restall-Microcell-Contour-Mk1-Mini-Cooper-S-Seats-Works-Race-Rally/292848870871?hash=item442f2725d7:g:FtQAAOSwF8Fb~aFa:rk:1:pf:0 ...they need a bit of work though!!!!! Dave

Hi, Chris Witor has a table showing the camshafts used for all of the triumph six cylinder cars, you'll find it in the technical section of the website. 308778 is the camshaft for Mk1 and early Mk2 pi cars.
  19. Hi Replaced an old set of XAS with Uniroyal Rainexpert 3 on the TR6 last year, couldn't afford the £1000+ for new XAS!  Then took it for a 2000+ miles trip round the north of Scotland and onto Orkney in June and very pleased with them. Thinking about similar or Uniroyal All Season Expert for the 2.5pi
  20. We enjoyed it last year so we're looking forward to next year. Hopefully the 2.5pi will be fit and ready to go. Dave and Jackie
  21. Hi Stuart You could try http://www.thetrimmingcentre.co.uk/tudor-webasto-coachbuilt-sunroofs or http://www.tudorwebastosunroofs.com/ both of whom repair and rebuild webasto roofs. I have been in contact with both about the roof on my 2.5pi. Unfortunately neither are in the north, east sussex and Kent respectively. Dave
  22. Hi, When were the emails sent out? Not seen one in our inbox yet. Dave and Jackie
  23. Many thanks to all of the P&P organisers who made the weekend's driving such fun and the roads which gave the cars a really good workout. Good to hear that plans are already afoot for next year, look forward to seeing what challenges you come up. Dave and Jackie
