  1. Hi Mark, I have just fitted this to my TR6, believe it would fit my Saloon if necessary: Bosch Car Battery 12V 70Ah Type 069 S4027
  2. Have no problem with the various bands he has been in, Pop Will Eat Itself, General Public, Bentley RRhythm Ace and The Wonderstuff. Fair play to him, but that Car SOS programme is very naff!
  3. Classic Oils do a Vr1 equivalent that is cheaper...sadly Classic Oils have tied up with Fuzz Townsend.....oh well. https://www.classic-oils.net/Classic-Oils-Heritage-20W50
  4. Speedshack in West Drayton, near Heathrow. http://www.speedshack.co.uk/Wheelnuts.htm
  5. Thanks Pete, yes, ran down my stock of jiffy bags..some were rather large. Hope to see you in 23!
  6. How many of your kin folk down here? I suspect the majority are here to escape Mrs Krankie! Mrs Sturgeon has to be the most annoying Scottish person ever...and that is saying something!
  7. Ray, No money owed as part of the entry fee. Glad all good, hope to see you in 1.5yrs time! Jimbo, Blimey, maybe you need more power though? Surely by 2023 you Scottish types will have achieved independence, so we may be able to bar you??? Of course, us Englishers expect a fairly bureaucratic border system and then we imagine the welcome will not be that great..... 'Round England and Wales Reliability Run' anyone? Dungeness and Sandwich, here we come!
  8. Hi Ray, hopefully you will get yours this week. I have been the scurge of a local post office for the last two Saturdays.....how not to be popular, rock up at a post office with 30 jiffy bags two Sats in a row!!!! 2020/21 RBRR is now over, a couple of months off and then its time to get going on the 2023 edition!
  9. With regards to the popping noise, it sounds like you need to a passenger whilst someone else drives the car, you have a good listen then...where are you based, if local to someone on here, you could drive and they listen?
  10. A good day, it would be great to get back to the TD levels were enjoying in the middle of the last decade.
  11. HI Sheep, Welcome to CT, be good to see some pics of your GT6, top little cars!
  12. Great shout Martin, kit car...very funny!
  13. Who the hell is the bloke who got the 'Services to the Club' award, bogus, very bogus!
  14. Darren, Are you staying with Brown...?
  15. Hi Richard, have a word with James Cooper, he may have one. Thinking about it, I am due to chat to him today or tomorrow, so will ask him. He lives near Bournemouth. Have you asked Dave Harvey?
  16. I have found putting a gearbox into either a TR6 or a Saloon is alot easier than into a GT6. There is always something in the way, brackets for the gloveboxes, heater ducts, the bulkhead on the starter motor side and the the bodywork flange for the bulkhead, and then of course, one cannot get properly over the gearbox to give it some manual stick! I always use my spring lifting tool to lever the gearbox upwards to line the bugger up, its brutal but it works!
  17. Hey, get out there and get stuck in!
  18. I have never found this necessary, just ensuring that the engine and gearbox are in the same plane has always worked, same for TRs and Saloons.
  19. Clive, Got to say, the thought of a Dolomite 1850 with overdrive is quite appealing. Can't wait to see your progression with the car. Will it be as good as Sam's example though?
  20. Paul could dish it out, but boy oh boy he could take it. At Wetherby last October, Jason C and me took the mickey out of his beard asking if it was a nest or was he hiding something, his immediate retort was, to us follically challenged pair, would you like some of the hair as you obviously need it!...just a top bloke. Forgot about the 'Who killed Bambi' story... Brilliant words by McJim, Don and Greeks.
  21. Blimey! If no joy on here, it might be worth asking about the car on the TSSC forum. Cars that are stated as being on the road are often locked away in garages or even in bits. Good luck with your search and do let us know how you have got on.
  22. This thread has gone quiet. So my news: TR6: The engine is out and with James Cooper in Bournemouth. Just waiting for some final machining and then the engine will be back with me. GT6: Rear lower trunnion bolts look like they have seized, so will be stripping that down asap. Fitting a 'new' spring that I have had for 20 years! Just MOT'd the car car at my fave MOT garage. Also, will check over the rear brakes as balance not quite correct. 2.5: Need to fit some trim and and prepare for TR Reg track day for late March. Not done any real driving with the cars as roads have been saturated in road salt...still the recent rain is now helping, so hoping to use the Saloon next weekend.
  23. Great pics Graham and nice words (as one would expect from you). 2003 10CR...it was as you say 'Epic'....!
