Tim, How about if I put a Triumph sticker on it? Nobody would know.
-
Yeah — I'll have an entry of 3 ready.
-
Mine may be of some reference too: there's a list of bits needed. https://sites.google.com/a/mintylamb.co.uk/triumph2000efi/

No idea — I wouldn't worry too much about the inside — where would the moisture come from? (condensation?)

I got my M-T-P mild steel 6-3-1 manifold aluminium coated — that has stopped it from rusting and adds some insulating thermal qualities (I believe). At least last time I looked it hadn't rusted. Cost about £100.

The wrap insulates, right? So it's now cooler — thus the exhaust gases are cooler — thus the unburnt fuel doesn't explode when it comes out the tail pipe and hits oxygen? That's my logic anyway.

Why is this even a discussion? Fan on the engine side of the rad, sucking through the radiator — controlled by a thermostatic switch. Never need worry about anything ever again.

Back in 2005 when I was building the engine for my Spitfire I got the County pistons back from the machine shop unmarked — thinking they hadn't weighed and matched them I took them back and they told me they were all identical. They double checked and showed me on the scales.

Ohh I missed this — tempted — but not in the Triumph…

Yes, good luck everyone — I am planning to come down to the start to relive the buzz of the start. I still don't envy anyone :)

Any chance of being taken for a mad 0-60 dash, I'm quite surprised at the acceleration of my mk1 saloon and I'd just like to know how fast a vitesse is, I suppose a GT6 or Git fire would do ! Cheers chaps, see you Sunday Saloons are surprisingly quick 0-60 — doesn't matter too much as it'll trash a Vit or GT6 in the bends anyway

I am doing a track day in July in my new car — will report back if it ruins me forever regards track days in my Triumph — have a feeling it will! -

Hmmm, tempted… -
Bill, Sounds like you should start with a Megasquirt running ignition only. Injection is then a simple step away of plumbing and injector wiring (and a wideband sensor) James

Goodwood Track Day 25th Nov - Booking Now Open
James replied to Chriss's topic in Comps & Motorsport
Chriss wrote:There are 17 entries so far. I can confirm the day will go ahead, so if you are waivering, get your entries in now. This should be a day to remember. Goodwood with only 5 cars per session. It will be like having the track to yourself. If you can't get your entry in turn up on the day with your credit card and I am sure you will be able to enter. I was wondering that — as I am taking a break from work right now I am free on Monday anyway. -
I'd love a set of front and rears for my Mk1 - put me on the list

The original mounting location must be better. (I have the brackets on my Spitfire — I wish I had done it properly and paid up for the wheel arch brackets to be welded in.

You can rig something up with a simple T shaped nylon hose joiner — I have a similar set up on my saloon.

You didn't notice on Saturday!? :)
-
If you don't mind emailing me the originals that's would be cool — my email is gmail so you can send as much as you like to it.
-
Sure is — Cheers Colin!
-
Yes — did anyone get any photos? I was trying harder for photo opportunity than speed I think :)
-
Great stuff everyone — enjoyed the slightly damp conditions as it seems to suit the saloon.
