Alfie
Is the mechanical fuel pump fitted to a GT6 and a 1300 spitfire the same in pumping volume? Can i fit a spitfire 1300 mechanical pump to a GT6 engine?
nang
I'd doubt it. My Spit and my 2500 pumps are definately different .Tony.

Alfie
Its a 1973 which at the minute has no fuel pump, i did consider fitting an electric pump but for the extra expense i think the standard mechanical pump will sufice.
DougBGT6
There are some dodgy pumps around. I had one fitted by the MOT man, he swore it was the right one but couldn't keep up and had no primer lever. I replaced it with a Rimmers £20 job and got a refunded from the garage. Martins Stag
One thing I found was that the standard mechanical pump would not pump enought fuel on a 2,5litre in my Spitfire. It used to misfire at about 95-100mph. Now it has an electric pump it will go up to 110mph plus and is only limited by the corners on the circuit ;)Martin
