1966 Triumph Herald 12/50

I have just purchased a 1966 Triumph Herald 12/50 and it does not have the white bumpers on and it does not look so good without them.

Is it possible to fit these white bumpers and how do they fit on

That has the rubber bumper set, and the retaining strip that may be missing from your valences.

The original Heralds never had rubber bumpers, and I would consider leaving them off as the fitting of rubber bumpers introduces a horrendous rust trap on both the front and rear valances. I think the Herald lines looks far cleaner with them off, but your mileage may vary...

Sorry Wendy but they were. My 1963 12/50 purchased by me in 1974 had them, and they were a rust trap. I don't know what the first fitment date was.

Looking at period press photos, the very early 948 and the later 'S' (a 948 "low cost" model introduced alongside the 1200) had body colour bumpers, but most 948s and all 1200, 12/50 and 13/60 had rubber ones, except the AMI 12/50 coupe, which had Vitesse-style or possibly chrome.
