Amy Wade
Simon Cowell's Mk3 Spitfire has just sold for an eye watering $84k. I wonder if it will have a knock on effect... https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/SIMON-COWELLS-1970-TRIUMPH-SPITFIRE-262106
Nick Jones
Low bumper mk3…..? Looks mk2 to my eye. But anyway, big money for a Spitfire, even a highly pumped up one….
Dannyb
The whole car looks a mismatch of parts. Wrong dash, seats, engine bay, bonnet etc. Got a bit of all the marks. Nice car but ridiculous price. Danny
Clive
Probably made to money from its "celebrity" connections, and bought by a collector or whatever. Seems to be a car built to customer spec, which is fine. But I can't see how it will affect other values.
thescrapman
Definitely a Heinz car. All models of Spitfire and a bit of GT6 Will set the benchmark price for bitsa-cars formerly owned by Simon Cowell.
Rosbif
Don't know about the car, which does look nice but so do many others at a fraction of the price, but I had to goooogle Simon Cowell as I have never heard of him😵
Kevin R
Looks like the car has had more cosmetic treatment than Simon himself.
yorkshire_spam
I wouldn't want to go anywhere near anything that odious turd had owned.
Pete Arnold
From the description of the work carried out, I would consider this car to have been rebuilt - restored, definitely not!!!!!!!!!

I would call it a restomod. It also looks like they've completely removed any chance of fitting a soft top or hard top. It's certainly not one I would want & I can't understand why they didn't start with a Mk1 or 2.

Danny The dash is actually one of the few things that's correct, late model US market Mk3 was the first to get the Instruments in front of the driver. Amy your right of course. In fact I only read about that a few days ago. Then quickly forgot 😁 Danny
