Rubce
Quoted from yorkshire_spam Something like these?http://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/2-way-toggle-switches.html Hi.I doubt the threaded section of those is long enough to pass through the dashboard. yorkshire_spam
I wonder if they have routed the back of the dash panel, or found switches with longer threaded sections?

HiI am after switches with a longer threaded section so I don't need to do any routingRegardsBruce
Dannyb
don't think they exist. If the threaded bit is too long the switch lever won't be able to move enough to operate it.

TedTaylor
Avoid the ones where the toggle part is all plastic - they have an annoying habit of breaking when used enthusiastically as we used to find when went rallying!Should be easy to get either the same as original in your picture of ones there only finger part of the toggle is plastic ....... I have acquired quite a few of both over the years and did not think they were difficult to find.MUT

ed_h
As stated, long threaded barrel is problematic for the internal toggle mechanism.A possible alternative is to use fixing nuts that reach down below the dash surface. These are home brew, but possible someone sells them?Ed
Rubce
Looks like it will be a job for the router >Thanks to all who replied.RegardsBruce
