Dave2000 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Hi all,If memory serves me correctly, I believe that the non-o/d gearbox from a 2000 is useful to Spitfire owners. If that is true, then I have one sat in the back yard if anyone wants it. It came out of my current 2000 not long after I bought it, and it's been sat outside ever since. As a result, it's probably full of water and would need an internal rebuild. However, if it's of any use to anyone you're more than welcome to come and get it.PM me if interestedCheers,Dave

Nick Jones Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I was hoping for a casing that was damaged rather than spoiling a useable one (I have a Sprint OD gearbox less OD).Mark has kindly offered me an auto bellhousing, which I'll accept as we live reasonably close and meet up from time to time.Non OD gearboxes are useful to anyone planning a rebuild on any of the manual saloon gearboxes as all internals are the same except the mainshaft. Also Sprint, TR and Stag to a lesser extent as many parts are shared. Nick
