WEDGEWOOD1968
HI BROTHERS & SISTERS @ PLANET TRIUMPH I HAVE A REBUILD PROJECT WITH A HERALD 13/60 ONTO A HERALD ESTATE CHASSIS. HOWEVER THE CURRENT DRIVE SHAFT COMES UP X6" SHORT ON MY BUILD. OOOPSA? 😀 DO I NEED A ESTATE PROP OR EXTENTION YUPP, I HEAR YOU SAY. I DONTG WANT TO RELOCATE THE GEARBOX CHASSIS BRACKET BACK AS THIS WOULD LEAVE ME WITH A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE NOT LOCATING OR LINING UP WHERE IT SHOULD. NOTE I HAVE ADJUSTED THIS BRACKET TO MAXIMUM LENGTH. HELP
Dogsbody47uk
No difference in chassis. You probably have the wrong propshaft. See Canley Classics technical section for correct prop lengths. Cheers, Dave.

RobPearce
Six inches short sounds like a Spitfire propshaft.
Pete Lewis
if you are rebuilding the car maybe a workshop manual on your christmas wish list would aid the investment ???Pete
