Okay, my car in sixth form was a Morris 8 convertible.
And that's not a V8 if anyone doesn't know, but a miserable side valve four cylinder with less than 20bhp, but great character.  I did an enormous mileage in it, it was called "Maybelline" and Jimmy Saville mentioned it on his Radio Luxemburg programme!

Cool, cheap and fun.  What more could a 'young person' want?

A neon tube, sub-woofers, metallic paint ...  ::)

As for 6th form, car ownership was a long way off for me  :(

Pfft, no-one needs neons, sub-woofers and metallic paint etc, it's a driving machine not a nightclub :D

One of my friends has a Moggie Minor saloon. He seems to think it's alot better than my 13/60. I can't agree with him at all... Herald looks better, goes better, handles better, cheaper to run and insure (depending on how you drive it!), parts are easier to get hold of...

Any views on this topic at all? I guess that it'll be somewhat biased on a Triumph forum :D

I would have liked my 6th form car to have been a GT6 Mk3 or a 2.5PI, but insurance is a killer even on a GT6 for a young 'un.
