Andy Flexney
Tim,it certainly was worth the 12000 DM to rebuild her and I don't regret it at all.Sorry if I scared you back then, like you, it was my first RBRR and if I had known what was to come I would have taken it a little easier and not tried to keep up with the saloons. Looking forward to following the "Grey Thing" around Europe.AndyF

Andy Flexney
Never heard of tactics?and apart from that ,Raider is always telling us IT IS NOT A RACE!But don't worry we will still get to the camp site earlier enough to find space for our semi-detached tent with patio and car port. Tim Bancroft
Good god! Semi detached tent, Patio and Car Port- you guys operate in style! The old TR's boot must be like the Tardis- will there be space for the barbie!
Burnerboy
Of course (might have to ditch the jacuzzi though) ; 8)
Greeks
Well Andy, after squeezing in the TR with your 'ample' co-driver for all that time I can't blame you wanting a jacuzzi as minimum ... and perhaps a tent to yourself!!!! ;D
Burnerboy
Ample? Me? Well ok then... If I carry on at this rate me trying to get back into the Yellow Missile will be like Mr Incredible attempting to fit into his old supersuit ;D

Tim Bancroft
Just been looking at the previews of the impending playstatin game Gran Turismo 4' looks like they have the Nordschleife as one of the tracks.Gonna buy it to learn at least some of the way around. James
It has a Spitfire 1500... and also possibly a TR3!The track has been done all via GPS and is considered one of the closest to real life representations of a track ever...I might well buy a Playstation and GT4 just for that! Tim Bancroft
James,Dougie Crutchfield's TR2 was used for copying, this was done just before the 2003 10CR. You say they have a Spitfire on it, well whatabout a GT6 or at least a TR6- gotta listen to see what computer contrived six pot noise sounds like. James
Dont think there are any 6 pots - if any I would think the TR6... the Spitfire 1500 I know is confirmed - but havent seen the TR2...Wonder if we can get a TV at the Plough - two player around Green Hell ;DThat would wind away an evening! Tim Bancroft
Funny that they have got the nose up stance and rate it at 72PS! Its gotta be an American smog job.Of course all the cars can be tuned, do not let Dave Picton near it as he will attempt to shoehorn a six pot in, he will not accept the fact that the software will not let you!Can you get Revs? James
LOL!I think you can get aftermarket wheels in GT4 - but no idea if they have Revs!I wonder if the Spitfire is as slow as it really is... you never get a feel for speed in these games... at least I know how fast one of these goes... rather than something like a GT40 which is just "very fast"I'll bring the TV, you bring the PS2 - looser buys a beer... Tim Bancroft
I did suffer from an addiction for GT2 a few years ago, fave car was the Pennzeoil Skyline, at least it was a six cylinder car.
James
I would have never expected that of you Tim!I've never had a PS2 - so have never played any GT apart from at friends houses...

James
Never too old to play games I don't think...It's more stimulating and rewarding that watching a lot of the TV that's on...

James
I have Richard Burns Rally on my PC - bloody brilliant game but damned difficult. I can only do a couple of the stages well - the rest I just fall off. I'm very good at the ones I know - and totally rubbish at the ones I don't.How much does he want for it ? James
Well as an update to this... it seems like neither the Spitfire or TR2 are in the final list...http://www.playstation.jp/scej/title/gt4/main.htmlhttp://www.us.playstation.com/Content/OGS/SCUS-97328/Site/Unless it's a hidden car...
