dinger
Bought a pre engaged starter motor from a fleabay Trader advertised as suitable for a Triumph 1500 TC.Item is in good condition but has threaded mounting holes in differring position to original .Trader claims it to be the unit to suit models between 1971-1973 and that the later ones were different .. Think he is talking crap ..do not think there was any difference and he is trying to fob me off .. Can anybody otherwise enlighten me please before I fry him ? Toledo Man
The 1500TC came out in 1973 so the one you bought might be from a 1500fwd...

That Man
Hi Dinger, You need to check the direction of rotation of that first, the fwd starter motors (if that's what it's off) run in the opposite direction to all other Triumph starters ( IIRC! )Gordon
