Tom2000
Hi all, so my high torque starter arrived today. It's a power lite rac414 which is supposed to be a direct fit without modification.. However upon fitting a part of the body of the motor is catching on the outter lip of a metal mounting hole in the corner of block.Picture:Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm only a few mm away from having the clearance I need, would it be safe to round the edge of the metal lip on the mounting block to give me the clearance I need? G.in_Lux
Been a while since I fitted mine, but if I remember rightly, you can remove the mounting plate and turn it 90°.
SpitNoir
Did you end up fitting it? Was going to say the same thing about rotating the housing on the mounting flange. Not sure about your exact model, since I've never used one, but many of that type are "clockable" to help them fit multiple applications.Of course, that would lead one to believe that the advertisers definition of "no modifications" is a bit broadminded.Best of luck. Hope yours is one that will have the position that you need.Better yet, that it's up and running already.Paul
