if you google triumph spitfire mk3 engine bay images come up of the engine bay area,some have the same type of res as you got,,seams the brackets angles are little different https://www.google.co.uk/searc.....tfire+mk3+engine+bay

i use either engine paint or exhaust heat paint,,both works well

you dont get rounded nuts if you use a 6 sided spanner,that goes for 6 sided sockets aswel,,far far better them these new funky spanners

5yrs of ownership(mk1 2000 est) it alway had millers gl4 gear oil,dolly on millers aswel 3yrs on

my brown 1300 is running on wix WL7213 oil filter and millers 20/50 classic oil,,no rattles or nasty noises,no probs on start up,runs 70psi cold and 30-40psi running temp...oil still clean`ish

i must be wrong,i thought 6.5" was only 10 spline,,,i stand corrected and ignore me all good fun

there is 2 sizes of clutch 6.5" and 7 1/4",6.5 is 10 spline and 7 1/4" is 20 spline,,,i had same problem when buying 3in1 kit,,hope it helps

case number could be anything,you can change internals,check number of turns

soak in oil-engine or gear oil,i did my 2000 estate axle pinion and was told to do this by some very good triumph guru`s near me
