sam93
Hello All, Hoping you've all had a triumphant day !, excuse the pun if you may .... ;DRight then down to business. A few weeks back, I started rebuilding my AC Delco fuel pump, I'd bought one of the rebuild kits to do so. As always it's not until that you've taken something apart which you realize that your missing some parts you need. In my case it was rubber gasket which the push-rod goes through prior to locking into the arm at the bottom of the pump. See pictures. These parts, are not including in the rebuild kit. Therefore I need to find somewhere or someone who can supply them. I've done a general search, on AC Delco parts & on one forum which I had a quick glance at; it was mentioned that somebody had a contact in america who specialized in rebuilding these pumps. Anyone know of any UK based specialists for these pumps. Could do with any info ASAP please,Thanks in advance,Sam.

sam93
It's tempting. What sort of cost though ?
BrendanD
My Facet pump (£80) makes a huge racket when it gets hot. Like shaking a spray can..... Very annoying.
CHRIS211083
For carbs there is only one pump to choose!!! HUCO fuel pump. £55, has it's own pressure regulator and the only time you hear it is when it primes when the key is first turned. Chris. Clive
Hmm, huco is one pump, but facet are excellent is a little noisy. But they have been doing a fine job on all sorts of cars, often motorsport ones, for years. However, as a cheaper alternative, how about a bike fuel pump? they are low pressure and meant for carbs, and should easily supply our cars if you choose a suitable one. (but do get a pump from a carb bike, not EFI!)
sam93
The HUCO fuel pump looks good to me. Especially as it's been designed to fit in an engine bay. The output pressure is 2.1PSI, does that sound correct ?
