timraven Posted October 1, 2011 Share Posted October 1, 2011 I had a slight problem coming home in the dark last night, basically the lighting circuit in the loom decided to fry itself. The first symptom was no rear lights, which I couldn't fix, it wasn't a fuse that had gone. I then had a stroke of genius, whack the foglight on and get home that way. A few minutes later I lost all aux electrics and smoke began creeping out of the passenger footwell. Luckily I have a discarnect, and managed to halt a fire pretty quickly.The fog light wasn't wired in very well (PO of course!), and I think its what caused my return on the back of a truck.Anyhow, now I really need a new loom, I've had a look on a few places but they are all a bit on the pricey side for a poor student, would anyone have a decent unmolested main wiring loom that they want to sell?I'm trying to see the positive side, being able to wire it all in properly and tidily etc, but I'm supposed to be back at Uni on monday! 40 miles a day is a lot on a pushbike!CheersTim Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
