Stromberg 150 cd???

Quick question.

I own 1971 13/60 with a 150cd carb fitted, simple so far.
Have been advised by garage that it is worn and if I could source a new/recon one it would be a good investment.
This came about when it was serviced and MOT'd. They said adjusting the mixture was very hard and this was due to wear. (is this a possibility?)

So have been looking for a new /recon carb and Christ how many slightly different cd150's are there???

Anyway will this one fit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221342149055

Thanks in advance

Andy,
Whilst that one may physically fit, it's not going to be "right" and *may* need different dashpot components for example.  You'll also need the correct needle for it, but he says he's happy to change that so it's less of an issue.  If it was me (and it actually was, a few months ago) I'd go for a rebuild kit, which costs significantly less depending upon what's actually needed.  When I looked, only Rimmers had the correct float and even then I think it was labelled as for the Mk 1 GT6 rather than 13/60.

the only wearing part is the throttle spindle and the bore in the casting,
the spindle is available and the bore can be bushed

ive use the carb exchange  http://www.carbex.demon.co.uk/  for reasonable prices

they are based in leighton buzzard beds.

to get the right parts you may need the number on the brass tag on the top cover screw if its even still there.

all the other parts are DIY cleanable, checkable and obtainable

for good clues on rebuilding have a read of the carb section  http://www.buckeyetriumphs.org/technical/technical.htm

nevr mind its for a diferent model the basics are all the same .
