Matt George
Hi guys,Over the weekend I picked up a 2500 engine that is hopefully going to go in my 2000 over winter. I'm just wondering on what route to take with the carbs. I have a pair of SU HS6 that I could refurb and use. But then I just thought, well if the engine is running ok on the Strombergs it will come with, then why not get it in and running and take things from there. But when i got the engine, it turns out to be running on CD150 Strombergs, which, are surely too small, so now I need to source another pair of carbs, whatever they may be? Does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions as to which way to go? Just for added info, the car will be running a long-branch inlet manifold and 6-3-1 extractor manifold, if that makes any difference to the choice. :)Cheers,Matt
Clive
HS6 will be luuuverly. Plus plenty of needles to choose from to match the engine.

dazzer
Hi MattQuicker responce with a pair of 175CD Strombergs and cheaper to source second hand. Not as fussy about needles either. Pop the needles in out of the 150s and off you go. Probably got 6Js in your existing carbs.CheersDarren
