Straight Six
The polythene clad insulation which goes over the gearbox of my Vitesse has finally disintegrated completely. I’m sure that there must be a better solution to heat & noise insulation nowadays. What do others use in its place?

glang
orrrrr how about my budget option: spray on polyurethane foam! I then topped off the top of the cover with an extra layer of stuck on secondhand carpet all of which has been pretty effective.

Straight Six
Thanks all, I've just ordered some Dynaliner.
Nick Moore
I used Dynamat stuck to the outside of my gearbox tunnel, hidden under the carpet. That way it can't come unstuck when hot and droop onto the gearbox.
