Phwoar
Mr Magoo, haven't heard that name in years, one of my old man's favorite cartoon characters! Mr Magoo would have done a better job covering those wheel arches though, he always came through in the end.
Pete Lee
Oh dear, oh dear :(The wheel arch is covered in a stretchy leather cloth or vinyl, fit on a warmish day using a contact adhesive, should come up pretty well. the material is available from a numer of sources such as Martrim. The same material is used on the hardboard corner piece just above the wheel arch. WIMPUS
Well i did mine on a cold day And on the sides it's still not pretty, it's a bit hard to do and best to do on a warm day so the vinyl will stretch I need to redo mine again in the summertime, got a piece/kit of vinyl from Owen (Park Lane Classics )
Freebird
Thanks guys - and what about the door cappings? Mine are painted red, but I'm sure the 1500s were vinyl. Was it just stuck on or was there a layer of foam?
Bainzy
Just a pair of pieces of thin plastic that go over the door cappings, held in place by the door card. Park lane classics do a kit to cover them in vinyl, which has to be glued in place but looks the dogs bollocks once done.
Pete Lee
Originally abs vacuum mouldings available from the usual suppliers, glued with contact adhesive. You can get wood capping.
