GT6 1
I went through a handful of used Lucas barrel metal flasher units on my GT6, they were all different some worked some didn't some were slow some went super fast, then found one just right. If you can try another. 🙂
Clive
Get an electronic 3pin type, they just work! Only alteration is it will need an earth connection.Example:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Pi.....f:g:MLMAAOSw1DtXIeuG
rlubikey
Or ... if the flashers are both good, it's an indication of low battery volts. Check you battery and alternator. In my experience, a bit slow with the engine off is normal.Cheers, Richard
philheys100
HiMy money is on the flasher unit, I have had several I would choose lucks type had this one in for about 12 months with no problems. Good luck
glang
If all the bulbs are correct (unlikely to be the problem as its the same in both directions) then I believe it could be down to a poor earth somewhere. The flash rate depends on the heating of an element in the flasher unit which is done by the current flowing to the bulbs. If theres less current flowing due to higher resistance in the circuit then the heating is slower and subsequently the flash rate also. Martins Stag
I used to find that if I had the tick over to low mine slowed down. Do they speed up if you rev it?Martin

Yes I agree if memory serves me right bulbs should be 5 watt, but my bet its still the flasher unit I had a similar problem.
