  1. Hi Folks, the OD logic box can be fun to use but you really do need to understand why you want one. The original one (Revington) was designed for the racing brigade for the quick gear changes - both up and down. This is not required for the touring car. Along with the expense you also have added complexity that could bite you in the bum. My one works very well and I am happy with it. But !!!! you do need a momentary ON switch to power it and then placed in the correct position. Not always easy. Roger
  2. Why not let them in (if there is room) and charge them the pro-rata rate. Brothers in arms Roger
  3. Hi Tim, I ordered two yesterday for a total of £7.92 from Upgrade MS. This inflation lark is quite dramatic. Roger
  4. +1 for the ;Night Eyes' Roger
  5. Hi Rob, thanks for your reply. It is simply out of interest. Some people swear by VitD others wouldn't go near it. Roger
  6. Hi Folks, may I ask a question? Please do not think of me as a loony and cause a row etc. This is simply to puts some pegs in holes for gathering info. Do or did any of you take Vitamin D3 supplements during the last two or more years> And if so what was your dose? PM me if you also do not want to appear as a Loon Roger
  7. I've had success on my T GB both free hand and with the pins. Somehow the pins felt reassuring. Roger
  8. TR Enterprise in Blidworth Mansfield are well trusted in the TR sector - worth a call https://trenterprises.com/ Roger
  9. Hi, if you have no luck here then try the TR-Register forum https://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/ Also try and contact all the folk in Ireland - there is quite a big TR following in Ireland. https://www.trregisterireland.ie/ Roger
  10. When I was at work in the hangars at Heathrow the concrete floors were not painted However they had a beautiful smooth, dust free almost glossy surface. How was that done. Roger
  11. Hi Adrian, for film you could try BFI https://www.bfi.org.uk/ but probably unlikely. Or put an advert in the local paper asking for amateur film etc Or contact your local radio. Or contact local social groups Or is there a film/camera club in the south east. Or contact the organisers of the beauty contests Or I'm prepared to sit in your car when its finished and you can film me. Roger Roger
  12. Annual average prior to 2020 is 15,000+ in the 4A. 2020 took a serious nose dive and is sub 10,000. 2021 is 10,000+ This year it should go back up. Roger
  13. Hi John, you got 'flamed' (not sure what that is) because you were wrong. Had Hamilton gone in for new tyres before before Max he would have been behind a good number of cars. And at that point the race was full on. Max went in the moment the crash happened. So Hamilton was Stymied. Merc did not get it wrong BUT events over took them based on the mysterious rulings by an idiot. No matter how you dress your argument Hamilton was on a winner. The only way that Max could win was to create new rules which the Race Director did after an apparent intervention by RedBull. Roger
  14. +1 Depressing the clutch when changing into or out of OD is really not required. If you simply match the engine revs with what you are doing will give a beautiful engagement. However if you get it wrong when changing down it can make an awful clunk. Roger
  15. This seems to be the season for lies and cheating. I'm finished with motor sport. Roger
  16. Hi Guppy, that makes sense. I have a home made Logic box that does the same as the TRRev box. I fitted the indicator LED in the indicator escutcheon on the steering column (TR4A)I just couldn't drill a hole in the dash Roger
  17. Hi Guppy, I ike the steering wheel. How have you got the inhibit switches to dis engage OD when pressing the clutch? The standard arrangement would leave it in OD until you switch it off. Are you using some form of Logic Box? Roger
  18. Hi Jason, I have an 'A' type OD logic box on my TR4A and it makes the OD work a treat. I use a press button to engage - which is almost effortless. It has a warning light as you can see the position of a press button. In the Black Forest a couple of years back I used 3rd gear to do the hair pin bends and the 3rdOD for the short straights. A couple of miles, no clutch use, a couple of dozen gear changes. There are better options than the Revington item. Roger
  19. Very many aircraft tyres are remoulds. If worked on correctly they are very good - but!!!! Roger
  20. Hi Brad, they are not expensive - get the best you can afford. Bench Vice Roger
  21. A serious management ploy (when they do not know the answer or the answer is too unpalatable) is to drop a 'hot potato' into the workforce midst and let them come up with the answer. Usually the answer is way beyond what the management would think possible. Are we not doing the same with off-setting the RBRR foot Carbon print Climate change is caused by green house gases. Carbon Dioxide is a very small contributor to this (but there is a lot of it). The effect of the CC is that it will potentially wipe out human life (or give it a serious headache) What is the present purpose of the RBRR and its result. Aside from the entertainment value (masochists) it generates desperately need funds for charities that affect human existence. Be it nursing Guide dogs, cures for cancer and other ailments. Surely this is more than comparable to planting a tree in your garden. So the 'Hot Potato' is reducing CO2 at whatever cost and the 'workforce' are going at it tooth and nail. Just my thoughts. Roger
  22. That was stunning - 3000MPH to 7000MPH one hours passes in 37 seconds. Roger
  23. Hi Tim, when entrants came into the 'cross roads' check in at Knebworth I was giving the drivers a good chatting to. I even got round to telling one of two entrants that their entry had been withdrawn - the look on their faces One little Herald turned up with no fuel - just running on fumes. Panic mode ON. I directed them to a petrol station just across the A1 roundabout. They were back in 30 minutes and very relieved Everybody came over very happy and pleased to be there. Roger
