mazfg
Just wondering if these are compatible. They look similar and are the same 7/8" bore? Anyone know if they are?https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRI.....8:g:22MAAOSwk5FU02S0https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lan.....8:g:GjUAAOSwdUZZlB-kHalf the price too! Pete Lewis
Even if the fixing lugs and push rod have any small differences its got to be fittableLR parts always seem to have a low mark up and hence less £££ many LR parts are compatible using commonly available supplier parts bins.pete
mazfg
Both those ebay items even have the same markings too!
pimp my vit
It was a long Time ago but I am 99% positive I bought the LR one, mainly because of the price but also info on here that said it was a perfect fit at half price...
mazfg
Well I bought one ....I'll let you all know when I get round to fitting it with my newly rebuilt gearbox and overdrive just back from Paul at First Motion Transmissions
Nick Jones
Possibly the hydraulic connection is 7/16" rather than 3/8" - but that can be got around.Nick
Gt6s
Nearly certain Nick is correct (as usual) about the pipe fitting.Laurence

Gt6s
Yeah looks like series 1 are 3/8 UNF. later ones use 7/16 UNFWell I do remember being wrong once before.Laurence
Nick Jones
Some definitely do come with 7/16" as the LR one I bought for my PI came with that - correct in that application! So we could all be right this time 🙂Nick
mazfg
Well @ £9.49 delivered, this is exactly the same as my existing slave cylinder and has a 3/8" UNF connection. So worth it at half the price https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAN.....p2057872.m2749.l2649

daver clasper
Brill!.I used the much cheaper Landy clutch M/C on Vit Mk1 2litre (slightly different bore size). Bit more pedal pressure needed, but helped with the clutch disengaging better (I used to get some baulking on 1st at times and sometimes a bit of crashing going into reverse with the pedal to the metal). Maybe some wear on pedal linkage to M/C / Not totally 100% bled / other things too? ). Now I only have to dip the clutch about a 1/3 way down to get smooth gear change, even in 1st/reverse.Is the slave for the Vit 6, the same as for 2 Litre (to use the Landy one), anyone please?.Dave
