Deleted User
There are brackets welded into the bulkhead and to the radiator cowl.I have no pics as I have never fitted them, I see no point.Rob
Velocita Rosso
DittoThe side shields hold hot air inside the engine area, without helps to keep things cool ,inside and outside the cabinIf there are no angle brackets on the bulkhead /foot well upright, then you would have to weld or screw some on The front end are held on to the upright of the rad u frameAdvice......don`t bother

ferny
Are we talking about the ones by the wheels going from the radiator to the bulkhead? They DO keep a lot of shit off the engine, especially from puddles. Don't run without air filters with them off, I did, I had stones inside my carbs. Although I probably need to point out I went through a very deep puddle at rather high speed - fast and deep enough to arc over the car completely. I'm still running without them. junkuser
Could save drowning the ignition, shorting out coil.Sad experience.
partsaver
Yes ferny the large black plastic splash guards, I won't be taking the car out in bad weather so getting the coil and ignition wet shouldn't be a problem.
WIMPUS
I've bought some alu, powdercoated black ones from ebay ( a guy called adunn_9 or so, will look it up !).I'm happy with these panels for mine, they look still brand new after a wash and 11.000 miles (and a lot of rain) ! ;)
WIMPUS
& the other side ! My friend told me that he left the cardboard ones off the car and got them in the garage for a good year ... they where very bend then!He still hasn't got them fitted, but liked mine also ! ;)

smithy
He's a good bloke - came up with mine (with vents) for me, as I recall. Cardboard ones ain't worth having, IMO. Not sure about fitting them, myself. Ran without them for many years in 1300 and 1500 guise and put up with the road dirt flying everywhere. Now the cars got the GT6 engine (it's a Mk 3 engine I think - they all look the same) I have driven with them fitted and without. Logic says that in place they might speed airflow through out and under the car - and the car was designed to have them fitted - but..... They're on at the moment. *Bling!*

partsaver
Well at least I think that's what the plastic shield were for but I couldn't work out how they fitted and seeing your pics they might not be for the spit, I will get some pics of the plastic bits this week although the Ebay ones look a good bet.
