heraldcoupe Posted August 29, 2006 Share Posted August 29, 2006 Herald O/D propshaft should be 46.5", Vitesse non-O/D is 47". Being a sliding spline shaft, it fits OK without putting pressure between diff and gearbox. With the non-overdrive gearboxes the small flange is shallower than the large type, which alters the overall gearbox length. I don't know if there is a similar length discrepancy with the overdrive gearboxes, if so the large flange type may be an inadvisably tight fit with the 47" propshaft.Cheers,Bill.
