CT Warwickshire - Shakespeare's Summer Scatter

Hi all,

I thought I'd get an early announcement out for the "Shakespeare's Summer Scatter" rally.

The date we have lined up is Sunday July 3rd. The start location will be new again, and further south in the county. This is to allow for new areas to be explored, and give the teams (and organisers!) a new challenge. You will also need OS Map 151.

Areas are being pin-pointed and question hunting will begin shortly - as usual there will be a good mix of easy pointers and some devilishly tricky high points. We will also be having a photo round again!

The event will be run for 24 cars again, with the intention these will be filled by CT. If they are not, the event will be opened to other Triumph Clubs, and local motoring clubs.

The team bringing this event to you is the same as usual, with myself at the helm as it were, AJ will be my sanity and provider of food (not sure what the menu is yet this year, but the chilli last year was a big hit). Ben and Hefty on time control and marshalling, with Andy and Rachel doing photography again.

It would be great to have a full contingent of Triumphs on this event, and hopefully welcome back some teams that have come to our events before as well as some new faces.

More details to follow.

Cheers, Jon

Right, as we are now two months away I figured it would be a good idea to get the paperwork available for all the crews.

Please note the following main points;
Start and finish times will be the same as before, BUT start and finish location are no longer in Corley. I have moved the event south in the county to take advantage of new roads etc that I haven't taken the previous events into. Lots of fun roads, that are generally pretty quiet. The venue is close to the Gaydon Motor Museum, so an area, most people are vaguely aware of at least.
Entry fee is the same as last year.

If you wish to get an entry form off to me early, you are welcome to, but officially the entries open at the start of June for CT.

24 spaces available again, it would be fantastic to get a full contingent from CT!

Anyone interested this year? I was out last night again hunting for good roads and the usual questions that will make you scratch your heads... and so far NO CHURCHES! So a bit more variety, but a tad harder to navigate without the obvious way-point of the village spires.

Lots of interest from the other motor clubs I have invited, including Rugby, and I have an entry form already from last years winners - so they're keen to come back. Can anyone from Club Triumph beat them!?

The art work for the T-shirts is nearly finished, hopefully you'll all like them!

Thanks all, Looks like we might be pushing the full contingent then, as expecting at least 6 entried from the Mercia Motor Club, plus a few wild card entries too.

Very good Mike, good to have you and Darren along again. We can add a few more now too...

We may even get an entry from an unusual Japanese car, the Suzuki Cappuccino.

And a rear view...
