For anyone not having read the latest edition of Club Torque, its 400miles of the best and quietest roads the north has to offer. Starting in Kelbrook Lancs, overnighting in the Scottish borders town of Kelso and finishing in York on the Sunday. We've organised some accommodation, an evening meal together in Kelso, a great route and Martin will be sorting the weather. Speaking of which, we will be presenting a new trophy/award for the spirit of the rally which will be known as The Martin Randle Cup. There's now a dedicated Border Raiders page on the website under Competitions and in the events section. The regs are also attached there. Velocita Rosso Posted March 31, 2018 Author Share Posted March 31, 2018 OK.....so pleased....all accommodation is finalised for all thirty car entrants (Approx 60 people) We have four hotels all fully booked in and around(within 5mins) Kelso....all very good places some with historical content and good views. We have spoken to all owners and they are all friendly,helpful and accommodating. Just need to finalise all our food/menu requirements for an evening of socialising in Kelso. We are also in the process of talking to the Local Community and Council officials relating the closing of the Kelso square and all our entry cars being parked together. Velocita Rosso Posted April 23, 2018 Author Share Posted April 23, 2018 The event has acquired a dedicated parking area/s in Kelso for up to 30 cars.So all cars will be kept together for arrival/overnight and departure The Community Council has kindly assisted in cordoning area/s off for us to enable easy arrival on Saturday and mass start on the Sunday morning.
