Velocita Rosso
Well it looks like we are still getting entries for this event....🙂 Just a reminder that anyone entering from now on will have to find their own accommodation at the first day`s finish in Kelso. Another reminder ,that if further entries are received, there is a group meal at the main hotel and the organiser must be advised if they wish to attend this meal, otherwise it will be down to finding a local eatery. Rubce
Hi All I have received no information off anybody with regards to this event since April time. Have I missed something? Regards Bruce P.S. our Stag is back in one piece so I intend using that rather than our GT6.
reychris
Fellow Raiders Just a quick update on the Raid in a couple of weeks timeHopefully you're all sorted with accommodation and raring to go.The Rally plates have arrived, the road book has been printed, trophies sorted and we've got some flags to wave you off. For those staying at the OST on the Friday I'll give you your rally packs with all the info to save a bit of time on Saturday morning. For those arriving Saturday morning signing on from 9 ish and hopefully first car away from 9:30 at minute start intervals. There'll be a quick drivers briefing before we start. The Saturday night halt is, as you know, in Kelso and we'll be having a group meal at the Cross Keys, at the last count there are 63 of us so should be an interesting night! We have some dedicated parking in the town square opposite the Cross Keys so please use that where possible and it will be our starting point for the Sunday return to York. Could be some local press coming to see us off on Sunday so get polishing those cars. Martin's in charge of the weather and I have high hopes he will deliver some sunshine for the weekend If there any changes to co drivers/cars please could you let me know Any questions let me know by email A huge thanks to the rest of the team, Mik,Mike and Ian See you all on the Friday/Saturday for the biggest Border Raiders yet. Clive
Be warned. Somebody has reshaped the rear of our Spitfire (queue of traffic, she didn't notice a bright yellow car in front of her!) but hoping to at least get it serviceable for the event. May not be pretty though😫
reychris
Oops, I’ve given you the first start, you will be number one on the run so there may be a few watching your rear!
Clive
I have applied a large hammer, after a crowbar was used to get the boot open. Now fits (and looks) like a glove, but not horrendous. It really has to be the car of choice for us, may have another literal bash at it over the weekend....may even wack a bit of fresh paint on it if any falls off.
