Steve AKA vitessesteve
Just read "FHC resto nr. 77; Heater rebuild part 8" what type of foam did you use to make the replacement that fits into the bulkhead. I reused the old foam which will have to do the job for now.
Beans
For the seals I used EPDM closed cell foam rubber sourced through a local supplier. They also machined the rubber into the correct shape using a DXF-file I created using the back plate as a template to generate a DXF-file, which in turn was used in their modern CNC equipment to fabricate the seals. Yes I had a few spare ones made for my other cars. It turned out to be a very cost effective and high quality solution!

Beans
I spent the first few hours in the shed this year. Probably more to follow! https://tr7beans.blogspot.com/2020/01/fhc-resto-nr-85-assembling-doors.html
Baxter
Nice blogspot, and your car is looking great! Seemingly a happy and productive time tucked away in the shed, out of the Dutch winter. All my shed hours so far this year have involved filling it with fumes, wondering why it's surrounded by so much mud and rotting leaves, making no progress on my car, and dreaming of a better shed
Beans
Thx! Still no winter here, with very mild temperatures for the time of year. I am able to work in the shed with the gate wide open to allow some daylight in! That was quite different 10 years ago while working on the DHC 😳
Tim Bancroft
Keep going Theo, looks a nice car.
