RBRR Control Marshals required

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

To run the RBRR we need Marshals to help at the Controls.

Simply put, you will be asked to:

A) Announce arrival with the owners of the Property: Motorway Service Station duty office, garage owner etc etc.

B) Establish the Control and set up the Control position

C) Record the cars as they arrive, we will send out the full entry list with space for Marshals to tick arrival. RBRR Central Control will have informed about retirements.

D) Sign the entrants Road Book

E) Take down the Control once all the cars have departed.

F) Let RBRR Central Control know about retirements using whatsapp

Time frame for most Controls is 2 - 3 hours.

We need Marshals at the following locations

Friday night: Wetherby

Saturday nIght: Tebay

Saturday NIght: Gledrid

Sunday Morning: very early: Mid Wales

Sunday Morning, very early: Raglan

Sunday Morning: breakfast Time: Lands End

Hope that you can help.

Tim

WaHi Tim, I can offer my services for the Mid Wales point.

Hi Gus,

Thank you.

Still very much attempting to establish what will be a new Control for us in mid-Wales, its likely to be in the middle of nowhere, so a degree of adaptability may be necessary. I will contact you once I know if this Control is feasible.

Hi Wendy,

Julia Lacey will run Gledrid as usual.

I have not got down to the nitty gritty of the kit that is needed at each Control. But, I believe that Julia has banners and HiVis.

As for telephone numbers, I will send the phone numbers of you all, Julia, Wendy, Chris and Steve to you all nearer the event.

All other correspondence from me or Nigel will be sent to the head marshal of each control.

Hi Allan,

Thank you for the offer, where would be best for you?

I don't have a problem with driving to any point you require. However doing the RBRR in my TR6 will not be a good idea. Anywhere on route. I did Knebworth for you last time.

Kind Regards

Allan
